Abstract

The objective of this study is to explore the key factors influencing successful digital transformation in organizations, with a focus on the roadmaps for next-generation digital systems that can future-proof operations. This qualitative research utilized semi-structured interviews to gather insights from 18 participants, all of whom were professionals involved in digital transformation processes across various industries. The study followed a theoretical saturation approach, using NVivo software for data analysis. The interview data was analyzed through thematic analysis, allowing for the identification of key themes related to organizational strategy, technological infrastructure, human capital, and policy governance. The findings of the study revealed that successful digital transformation is influenced by four primary factors: a clear organizational strategy aligned with long-term business goals, strong leadership commitment to digital change, robust technological infrastructure that supports innovation, and the development of digital competencies across the workforce. Participants emphasized the importance of leadership support, technological readiness, and employee engagement in driving digital transformation. Furthermore, strong data governance and ethical frameworks were identified as essential for managing risks associated with digital initiatives. The study concludes that organizations aiming for successful digital transformation must align their technological strategies with organizational goals, foster a culture of innovation, invest in employee skill development, and ensure comprehensive governance frameworks. Leaders must be proactive in managing both technological and cultural shifts within the organization to ensure long-term success in an increasingly digital landscape.
