Abstract

This study aims to explore the transformative impact of FinTech innovations on banking and financial services, focusing on technological advancements, customer-centric solutions, and regulatory challenges. A qualitative research design was employed to investigate FinTech innovations through semi-structured interviews with 22 participants, including financial analysts, banking executives, technology developers, and policy experts. The interviews were conducted online, and theoretical saturation was achieved. Transcripts were analyzed using NVivo software to perform thematic analysis, identifying key patterns and themes related to FinTech's impact on financial services. The findings reveal that blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and mobile payment solutions are revolutionizing financial services by enhancing operational efficiency, security, and customer experience. Participants highlighted the importance of personalized financial products and financial inclusion in fostering customer-centric innovations. However, challenges such as regulatory compliance, cross-border policy harmonization, and ethical concerns were identified as significant barriers to FinTech adoption. Emerging trends, such as decentralized finance (DeFi) and sustainable finance, suggest continued disruption in the sector, emphasizing the need for strategic collaboration between FinTech firms, traditional banks, and regulators. FinTech innovations are reshaping the financial services landscape, offering opportunities to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and customer engagement while posing challenges related to regulatory compliance and ethical considerations. Collaborative efforts between industry stakeholders are essential for leveraging FinTech’s potential and fostering a more inclusive and sustainable financial ecosystem.
